Lin Shu-nu 林淑女

Lin Shu-Nu, sobriquet Xiang-yin, was born in Tainan. Her interest in art started early, as she was graduated from the Art Faculty at the Chinese Culture University and the Graduate School of the National Taiwan Normal University, specialized in landscapes, figure, flower-and-bird, gongbi paintings, calligraphy and seal carvings. Her techniques of incorporating splashed ink and gongbi styles received wide recognition. Hence, she received an award from the Sun Yat Sen Academic and Cultural Foundation in 1999. Her works were exhibited worldwide, and were collected by national museums including the National Museum of History, the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
