Liu Maoshan, a native of Suzhou, is a renowned landscape painter. He is currently a member of the China Artists Association, the deputy director of the Suzhou Chinese Painting Institute, a National First-Class Artist, and a professor at the School of Art at Suzhou University. He graduated from Suzhou Arts and Crafts College, where he initially studied Western painting before transitioning to Chinese painting, focusing on landscape painting. Liu Maoshan's landscapes are rich and profound, often depicting the scenery of southern China with a fresh, simple, serene, and lyrical style, creating a unique artistic expression. He has visited the United States, Japan, Russia, and several European countries, where he held solo exhibitions and engaged in academic exchanges. His works are widely collected by museums.
