LIU Tai-hsi 劉太希
Taiwanese 1899-1989

Liu Tai-Hsi was born to a political family in Jiangxi Province. His father was a Hanlin scholar and was a politician with integrity, making Liu a person who preferred to live in austerity. Liu was knowledgeable in ancient literature and was graduated at the Peking University. His fame led him to teach at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Later he relocated in Taiwan and taught at the National Taiwan Normal University, the National Chengchi University, the National Fujen University, the Chinese Culture University, the Soochow University and the Tamkang University.
