SU Tianci 蘇天賜
Chinese 1922-2006
Born in Guangdong Province, in 1946 he graduated from the National College of Art in Chongqing and followed Mr. Lin Fengmian as master, the same as to Wu Guanzhong and Zao Wou-ki. He was a consultant to the China Oil Painting Society. More importantly, he was an outstanding representative of modern oil painting - freehand style. His famous works include "The Early Spring" and "The Charm of Snow" among which "The Early Spring" won the Bronze medal of the seventh National Arts Exhibition and was collected by the National Art Museum of China. The published painting albums are "Oil Painting Small Set", "Su Tianci Selected Artworks" and "Su Tianci". Exhibitions: in "Art Heimbach Summer Festival" (1993, Germany); "Art Exhibition Dedicated to the Celebration of The Return of Hong Kong to China" (1996,China); "Oriental Implication-Su Tianci's Art Retrospective Exhibition" (2008, China).
