CUI Zi-fan served as Vice President and Secretary General of the Beijing Academy of Chinese Painting, a member of the China Artists Association, and a director of the Beijing Artists Association. Encouraged and guided by Qi Baishi, Cui excelled in freehand bird-and-flower painting, known for its simple yet expressive compositions, with a style that is rustic, robust, and powerful. His works are collected by institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, Tianjin Art Museum, Beijing Museum, and Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has published Selected Paintings of Cui Zifan and Selected Works of Cui Zifan.
