Seungmo Park (born in 1969 in Samcheok, South Korea) graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sculpture from Dong-Eui University and currently lives and works in New York. He is renowned for creating lifelike portrait sculptures and sculptural paintings using various types of metal wire. The smoothness, realism, and natural beauty of his technique have garnered international acclaim for his work. Park's sculptures have received considerable attention both in the art world and mainstream media. Notably, his sculptures were featured in the Oscar-winning Korean film Parasite, which won four Academy Awards in 2020.
He has participated in over 40 exhibitions, including Social Sphere at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 2017 and Korean Contemporary Eye at the Museum of Arts and Design in 2011. Park's works are part of various institutional and private collections around the world, including in South Korea, Taiwan, China, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
