FAN Kang-Long 范康龍
Taiwanese 1965-2015
Born 1965 in Hsinchu, Fan Kang-Long is one of the important contemporary sculptors in Taiwan. His works are based on his personal point of views towards on individual life, and his impersonal opinions on society and thus, the works he created became the personal monologue to his life and a window where we observe the pulsation of society. Applying the Cubism technique to his art works with the spirit of Modernism and the imagery of Minimal to express his art language, which reflects the transition of his opinion on life. One of his works was awarded for the New Trend Prize of Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 1990, and Lion Art Awards.
