Chou Chu-Wang was born in Pingtung in 1978 and graduated from the National Kaohsiung Normal University's Department of Fine Arts in 2005. He currently resides and creates his artwork in Pingtung. Chou excels in a representational style, depicting the surroundings of his hometown. His works carry personal emotions and profound life insights, showcasing a mastery of intricate and realistic imagery. His art explores a wide range of themes, including natural landscapes, urban scenes, nostalgic toy settings that evoke childhood memories, as well as playful, whimsical, and chaotic scenes. Whether portraying reality or imagined scenarios, Chou's brushwork imbues his world with distinct physicality and spatial depth, with attention to detail that immerses viewers as if they are present in the scene. This artist has held solo exhibitions at various venues, including the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, the Fengjia Museum of Art, and the Harbor Arts Center.
