WU Jin-yang is from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He is a painter, calligrapher, and seal carver, he served as a lecturer at the National Taiwan University of Arts. Wu received awards from both the Taipei Fine Arts Exhibition and the Taiwan Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition, and in 1992 he was granted permanent exemption from preliminary review in the Provincial Exhibition.
