Yasuhiro FUJIWARA 藤原康博
Japanese 1968

Yasuhiro Fujiwara was born in Mie Prefecture, Japan in 1986. He graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design, Tama Art University, Japan in 1992, and got his Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Chelsea College of Arts, London in 2002.

Fujiwara incorporates personal and collective memories, and themes from fairy tales into his artworks. For example, a beautiful mountain, the peak evokes our homesickness and appears in front of us with a beautiful appearance, but it does not actually exist. Between the swaying vision and the memory of existence and non-existence, one can experience being moved by the mysterious power of painting. Fujiwara creates three-dimensional artworks in the same way, which is like a warehouse storing memories and dreams, bringing special feelings to viewers.

His exhibitions include: a series of solo exhibitions held at Mori Yu Gallery, "Para landscape - The Present of Imagination over 'Landscape'" (Mie Prefectural Art Museum, 2019), "Undulationism" (AKI Gallery, Taipei, 2019), "Feel of Memory" (Mitsukoshi Nihombashi Main Store 6F Artspot, Tokyo, Japan, 2021), etc.
