Born in Suzhou in 1950, Zhang Yuzhou's love towards art came from his family and the place he grew up. He enrolled to 1978 Suzhou art school in 1978, he specially interested to the impressionism and frequently draws from nature. In 1980 he apprenticed himself to Wumen painter Zhang Tuanhsin to study traditional drawing. In 1989 held "Zhang Kunzhong Art exhibition" in Australia. In 1991 conducted "Zhang Yuzhou ink paintings exhibition" in Kaohsiung Culture Center. In 1993 participated in Australian art exhibitions for many times. In 1999 participated "3rd Session of Shanghai Art Exposition".
