+ OVERVIEW
Although her life is limited, she firmly believes that although the body dies , the soul lives on. After being diagnosed with the recurrence of cancer 12 years ago, Chiharu Shiota held this belief and used thread to recreate the traces of the life of all things and the subject of the impermanence of life. The white yarn in "State of Being (Map)" represents rebirth and eternity , embodying the artist's view of life and death as she has experienced with them many times. Chiharu Shiota's creative themes are often related to memories , nostalgia , and dreams. Through her works , she leads the audience to explore their inner worlds and touches the depth of their hearts.
